Don’t get MAD, Walk Like MADD!

Please join MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Georgia and the Office of Injury Prevention this Saturday, October 2, 8:30 AM at Stone Mountain Park in support of their Annual Walk Like MADD awareness campaign.

In 2009, 331 Georgian’s were killed in crashes caused by a drunk driver.  Too often hear stories in the media  about persons killed or seriously injured in car crashes due to a drunk driver.  What we don’t hear are the stories of the survivors or victims who must cope with a permanent disability from injuries sustained in a crash or the economic burden families face due to mounting medical bills, loss of income from a job, and the emotional impact placed on the victim or surviving family members all because of a someone chose to drive drunk.

Fortunately, MADD Georgia offers programs that support victims and their families as well as advocate for stronger DUI laws.  That’s why this event is so important.

Please be a part of Janet’s Fleet of Feet as we walk around Stone Mountain in support of MADD Georgia.   Download the flyer for more information about the walk and how to register for Janet’s team.
