Services
Services
The Ryan White Early Care Clinic provides a wide variety of HIV
services. Fees are charged to clients based on their level of
income. Click

HIV
Testing
The DeKalb County Board of Health provides confidential HIV testing.
Standard testing is available with results given in two weeks.
A "rapid test" is also available with preliminary results
in approximately one hour.
Comprehensive
Medical Care
Doctors, including staff from Emory University and the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as staff nurses continually
seek the latest advancements and treatments to provide clients
high-quality medical care.
Dental
The clinic provides routine dental services at the Vinson Health
Center.
Ophthalmology
The clinic contracts with a local ophthalmology center to assist
our patients in receiving superior vision care.
Nutrition
A registered and licensed dietician is available to assess the
nutritional status of each client. The dietician may help reverse
or prevent many of the nutritional complications common to people
living with HIV.
Social
Work and Case Management Services
The clinic has on staff two AID Atlanta case managers to provide
a variety of case management and social services. Both are licensed
clinical social workers who can help with obtaining critical HIV
medications, housing, financial assistance and food. They can
also help individuals apply for assistance from a variety of programs,
such as Social Security disability.
Rental
and Utility Assistance
The clinic's social workers are able to assess eligibility for
and facilitate acquiring rental and utility assistance.
Mental
Health Support Services
Trained counselors are available to help with adjustment and emotional
issues and to offer ways to cope.

Peer
Counseling
Many people living with HIV feel better talking with others also
living with HIV. The clinic's peer counselors may share your concerns
and are available to offer support.
Psychiatric
Services
A part-time psychiatrist is on staff to address any mental health
medication needs.
Chemical
Abuse and Dependency Counseling
The clinic has certified substance abuse counselors to assist
HIV+ individuals through all phases of the recovery process.
Transportation
Services
Transportation is available to bring patients to and from the
clinic. To request a ride, call 404-294-3771. MARTA tokens are
also available on a limited basis.
Community
Outreach
Clinic staff visit college campuses, faith-based groups and other
community organizations to provide HIV testing and education as
well as information on clinic services.
