Safe Kids of DeKalb Unintentional injuries are the number one killer of children and youth ages 0-17. Safe Kids of DeKalb is dedicated to preventing unintentional childhood injuries in DeKalb County. Unintentional injuries include burns, falls (involving playground equipment, bikes, scooters, in-line skates, skateboards, and those in and around the home), poisonings, pedestrian injuries and motor vehicle crashes.
