Residential Pools The Board of Health does not inspect privately owned residential pools located at single family homes, but the Board of Health does conduct plan reviews for new construction and responds to complaints. During plan reviews for residential pools, Board of Health staff look for proper fencing that includes a self-closing gate. They also make sure that the proposed pool site will not interfere with any nearby septic systems.
