2004 National Health Information Awards Program

DeKalb County Board of Health's Medical Reserve Corps was selected as a winner in the 11th annual National Health Information Awards. This program recognizes the nation's best consumer health information programs and materials.
The Medical Reserve Corps received a Bronze Award for its magazine ad entry in the miscellaneous health information category of the competition. Those involved in the production and design of the Medical Reserve Corps ad include James Carver, Vickie Elisa, Brandi Jessemy, and Beth Ruddiman from the Office of Public Relations and Volunteer Services.

The winning entry was chosen from more than 1,100 entries judged by a national panel of health information experts. The awards program is coordinated by the Health Information Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for consumer health information programs and materials. The Center, which houses a large collection of such public and private sector materials, promotes the distribution of accurate, timely, consumer health information materials to professionals and managers in the field.
