DECATUR, Ga. – The DeKalb County Board of Health’s Doraville MARTA station vaccination site, located at 6000 New Peachtree Rd. in Doraville, will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 4.

The closure is necessary to provide staff for a COVID-19 vaccination event on Saturday Dec. 4, at the former Doraville K-Mart site, located at 5597 Buford Hwy. NE. This event starts at 8:00 a.m. The DeKalb County Board of Health, along with DeKalb County Government and DeKalb Fire Rescue are partnering for this event.

Only individuals ages 12 and up can receive vaccination at this event. Everyone who is eligible for vaccination will have a choice of the Johnson and Johnson, Moderna or Pfizer vaccines, except for those age 12-17, who can only receive the Pfizer vaccine. Booster doses of vaccine are recommended for adults 18 and older who have completed their first series of vaccine.

COVID-19 vaccinations are free. However, if you have insurance, we ask that you please bring your insurance information and photo ID with you. An administration fee may be applied for Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance. You will not receive a bill from the DeKalb County Board of Health or your insurance company for the administration fee. Not having insurance will not prevent you from getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Additionally, those receiving a second dose of their initial vaccine series, or a booster should also bring their CDC vaccination card.

Regular hours for the Doraville MARTA vaccination site are Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The Doraville MARTA vaccination site will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 7.
